The composition is claimed to cure bronchitis, asthma and all other diseases of the breast or lungs. The second patent in the field of Cannabis was filed in the United States in 1884, US Patent 302116A, which also claims the healing property of Cannabis Indica!

Post 1990, patent filing activity in this field has started to increase significantly.
